Seized over 300 billion VND, more than 1000 red books

Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen said that these are two cases that have received much public attention recently due to their nature, complexity, and scope of influence on many localities, as well as the large amount of investigation work. Therefore, in the recent meeting of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Action, the two cases were directed to be brought to the Steering Committee for monitoring.

Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen informed about the progress of the case of violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences, violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences, accepting bribes, and taking advantage of influence over people with positions and powers occurring at Phuc Son Group and Thang Long Real Estate and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company and related units.

To date, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has initiated criminal proceedings, prosecuted and temporarily detained 23 defendants for the above-mentioned crimes. At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has recovered over VND300 billion, nearly USD2 million, over 500 taels of gold and over 1,000 land use right certificates of various types. Currently, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency continues to consolidate documents and evidence, clarify the wrongdoings of the defendants and related subjects, expand the investigation of the case, and recover lost and misappropriated assets.

Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen informed about the progress of the case of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences; giving bribes; receiving bribes; taking advantage of positions and powers to influence others for personal gain; taking advantage of positions and powers while performing official duties occurring at Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company and related units and organizations.

To date, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has initiated criminal proceedings, prosecuted and detained 8 defendants for the above-mentioned crimes. At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has recovered nearly 40 billion VND. Currently, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is continuing to investigate and clarify signs of violations in the bidding and implementation of projects of Thuan An Group. At the same time, it is focusing its forces to investigate and expand the case, completely recover assets for the State, and propose strict handling of violations.

"Through these two cases, the Ministry of Public Security's investigation agency calls on those who commit the above violations to honestly report to the organization or confess to receive leniency" - Major General Hoang Anh Tuyen emphasized.
