Nationwide recall of Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion due to unknown origin and poor quality.

The Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) has just sent a document to the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-run cities, requesting the urgent recall and destruction of the cosmetic product Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion (Box of 250g) due to unknown origin and poor quality.

According to the Drug Administration of Vietnam, the search results on the National Single Window System show that this product has not been granted a receipt number for the Imported Cosmetics Declaration Form, which means it does not meet the conditions for legal circulation in Vietnam.

Previously, the Testing Center, Department of Health of Tra Vinh province took samples of Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion at Thanh Van Shop (address: No. 695, Dien Bien Phu, Tra Vinh ward, Vinh Long province, formerly Tra Vinh city, Tra Vinh province) to test the quality.

The label states that the product is made in Thailand, manufactured on May 10, 2023, and has an expiration date of May 10, 2026, but there is no batch number and the name of the facility responsible for bringing the product to market is not clearly stated. Test results show that the product does not meet the requirements for appearance and violates the regulations on cosmetic labeling.

In response to the above serious violations, the Drug Administration of Vietnam requests the nationwide recall and destruction of all Alpha 3 Plus + Arbutin Collagen Lotion products (Box of 250g).

The Departments of Health are assigned to widely notify businesses and cosmetic users to immediately stop trading and using this product; organize the recall and destruction of all violating goods; at the same time, inspect, supervise the implementation and strictly handle violations according to current regulations.

The Department also requested localities to coordinate with the media to propagate and help people raise their vigilance, not to buy or use cosmetic products of unknown origin, and not to be legally announced.

The Department of Health of Vinh Long province was assigned to urgently coordinate with relevant agencies to inspect Thanh Van Shop, verify the origin of the products, clarify the illegal cosmetic trading behavior and report the results to the Drug Administration and relevant agencies.

This is a strong warning about the situation of cosmetics of unknown origin, floating on the market, which can seriously affect consumers' health if not strictly controlled.
