I completely agree with the policy of "selectively attracting foreign investment projects, focusing on high-tech, low-emission industries" stated in the Draft Political Report submitted to the 14th Party Congress.
In the context of the global shift towards a green and digital economy , prioritizing projects with technological value and environmental friendliness will help Vietnam develop sustainably, avoiding the risk of becoming a recipient of outdated or polluting technology. In addition, increasing the attraction of indirect investment, especially investment funds, will create conditions for the domestic capital market to develop more transparently and professionally, contributing to reducing dependence on loans and improving the financial capacity of Vietnamese enterprises.
I think that specific policies are needed to promote connections between the FDI sector and domestic enterprises. The State should support the formation of linked industrial clusters, innovation centers, as well as mechanisms to encourage FDI enterprises to transfer technology, train human resources and use products and services of domestic enterprises.
Finally, it is necessary to focus on improving the technology absorption capacity of Vietnamese enterprises, through investment in research, education and innovation. Only then will the cooperation between the FDI sector and the domestic economy truly become an important driving force to promote the country's industrialization and modernization.
