At this time, people in the "capital" of growing grapefruit have begun the harvest season. In recent days, people have been busy harvesting grapefruit to sell to traders. On the roads, vehicles are bustling in and out to buy grapefruit and then distribute it to Ha Tinh province and many other provinces and cities across the country.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tan (43 years old, living in Huong Dong village, Loc Yen commune, Huong Khe district) said that this year her family planted 100 grapefruit trees with an estimated total yield of about 3,000 fruits, equivalent to about 3 tons. Currently, traders come to the garden to buy at a price of 20,000 - 25,000 VND/fruit. If deducting expenses, the family expects to earn a profit of 40 - 45 million VND.

"This year, due to the prolonged drought, the grapefruits are not as big, but the quality of the grapefruit is sweeter than last year. This year, grapefruit has a good harvest and good prices, so people are very excited," Ms. Tan said happily.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Huong Khe District, the total pomelo production in the entire district this year is estimated at over 21,000 tons, with revenue of approximately 500 billion VND.
