Prime Minister signs important decision on Can Tho University

(NLDO) - The scale of regular training of Can Tho University in the past 5 years has always reached over 35,000 students.

On July 15, the Prime Minister signed a decision to convert Can Tho University into Can Tho University.

Can Tho University has now been transformed into Can Tho University

The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Education and Training , the People's Committee of Can Tho City and relevant agencies, according to their functions, tasks and authority, to guide and supervise the conversion process to ensure transparency, prevent negativity, loss and waste of finance and assets, and not affect the normal and continuous operation of schools.

At the same time, ensure the legitimate rights and interests of learners, lecturers, managers, employees and related organizations and individuals according to the provisions of law.

The transformation of Can Tho University into Can Tho University aims to ensure authority, capacity and stature for Can Tho University to better perform its functions, tasks and roles as a regional university.

The scale of regular training of Can Tho University in the past 5 years has always reached over 35,000 students.

This is also an opportunity to reorganize and innovate the internal organizational structure of the unit and overcome shortcomings in the current organizational model.

Can Tho University currently has 6 specialized schools including: School of Science, School of Information and Communication Technology, School of Economics , School of Agriculture, School of Fisheries and School of Education.

Can Tho University is training 121 undergraduate majors/specializations, 58 master's majors/specializations and 22 doctoral majors. Of which, the number of majors training all 3 levels from undergraduate to doctoral is 13.
