Attending the conference were: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha, Bui Thanh Son, Ho Duc Phoc, Mai Van Chinh; Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies; leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies.
Up to now, the Government has established a Steering Committee, issued a Master Plan for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, which summarizes the tasks of organizing the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements (Exhibition); established an Organizing Committee, issued a Plan for Organizing the Exhibition. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the Standing Body of the Steering Committee has met with 63 provinces and centrally run cities to agree on how to implement the Exhibition with central ministries, branches and departments.
Scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 5 at the Co Loa National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the exhibition will display and introduce socio-economic achievements in 80 years of building, protecting and developing the country, along with supporting activities such as fairs, food stalls, tourism, handicrafts; art programs; bilateral contact activities, conferences, seminars...

Currently, relevant ministries, branches, agencies and units have planned, arranged and organized the exhibition space to ensure harmony and balance between regions, industries and achievements in various fields; service space for people to visit the Exhibition and have fun, entertainment and experience; ensuring security, order and food hygiene and safety; scenarios for cultural and artistic activities, exchanges, fairs, cuisine...
After the leaders of ministries and branches gave their opinions and concluded the conference, the Prime Minister said that the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day is a large-scale activity with rich content.
This is a big, difficult, unprecedented task with short preparation time and high requirements...; requiring all ministries, branches and localities to participate with the highest spirit and responsibility so that the Exhibition can be organized to ensure inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, objectivity, honesty, feasibility and effectiveness.
Pointing out that the Exhibition must depict the 80-year journey of defending and building the country, thereby arousing national pride, creating motivation and inspiration for the whole country to enter a new era, the Prime Minister noted that the Exhibition must create conditions and meet the enjoyment needs of the people, while introducing to international friends the country's 80-year achievements.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the Exhibition must mobilize maximum documents, materials, artifacts, and characters; combine and integrate the display and exhibition of achievements of the country and the nation with other cultural, artistic, recreational, and entertainment activities; use methods, technologies, and art forms that both ensure tradition and demonstrate modernity; ensure scientificity, and create conditions for people and friends to visit the Exhibition both visually and online...
Requesting research to set the theme of the Exhibition as “Journey of 80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested mobilizing the combined strength of the whole country, the entire political system, people, businesses, and the whole society; mobilizing State resources and socialization to organize the Exhibition; promoting the self-reliance, self-reliance, proactiveness and creativity of related subjects.
The Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh to direct the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee, to assign tasks to prepare for the organization of the Exhibition with “clear people, clear work, clear time, clear results, clear authority, clear responsibility”; to have specific, special, and exceptional mechanisms to ensure the preparation and organization meet the set requirements and goals./.
