ANTD.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued Official Dispatch No. 121/CD-TTg dated November 26, 2024, on continuing to promote the development of the domestic market and stimulate consumer demand.

The official dispatch stated that, since the beginning of 2024, the socio -economic situation in the country has continued to show a positive trend, with clear recovery, macroeconomic stability, boosted growth, controlled inflation, and ensured major balances. The industrial and service sectors have maintained good growth rates.
However, the global and domestic situations remain complex from now until the end of the year. Notably, domestic demand remains weak, and production and business activities still face many difficulties, especially in the agricultural sector due to the impact of typhoon number 3.
Therefore, the Prime Minister requests that Ministers of Ministries, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, relevant agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities, industry associations, and businesses be more determined and responsible, proactively organizing and implementing decisively and effectively the tasks and solutions assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister in the Decisions, Directives, and guiding documents of the Prime Minister on the development of the domestic market;
Review and prioritize the implementation of solutions to overcome difficulties in disbursing public investment capital, credit packages, and policies to attract social resources to participate in implementing programs and tasks related to stimulating consumer demand.
The Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Industry and Trade to continue directing the synchronized and effective implementation of solutions to regulate supply and demand, stabilize the market, and promote consumption policies to revitalize the domestic market, linking production with distribution and consumption of goods; to review and research and propose policies to support domestic enterprises participating in the supply chains of domestic and global products;
Strengthening trade promotion and supply-demand linkages to boost consumption of domestically produced goods through traditional and modern distribution channels; actively supporting the provision of market information and legal advice to small and medium-sized enterprises;
At the same time, actively organize promotional programs at the regional and national levels, coordinate with localities to strengthen activities connecting and distributing OCOP products, bringing goods to remote areas and industrial zones to stimulate domestic consumption; continue to direct commercial banks to save costs, promote the application of digital technology, and reduce interest rates for businesses and people to promote production and business in the last months of 2024 and the beginning of 2025…
Along with stimulating consumer demand, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to effectively implement measures to inspect and control the market; support businesses in handling issues related to trade defense investigations, origin fraud, combating smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods;
Research and development of mechanisms to strictly control imports via e-commerce are currently putting significant pressure on domestically produced goods, affecting the consumption of products from domestic businesses.
The Prime Minister also requested the Ministers of Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Construction, Culture, Sports and Tourism, the State Bank of Vietnam, etc., to take measures according to their functions and responsibilities to promote domestic production and consumption and stabilize people's lives.
