
General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the working results between the Russian Federation Security Council delegation and Vietnamese authorities; acknowledged the cooperation contents agreed upon by both sides, especially in preventing and combating transnational crimes; preventing and combating terrorism; ensuring cyber security; non-traditional security; exchanging strategic information and training and fostering officials.
The General Secretary stressed that in the context of the rapidly changing and complicated world situation, Vietnam and the Russian Federation need to strengthen coordination, consultation and experience sharing to support and complement each other for the security and prosperity of each country. Vietnam is ready to strengthen cooperation with Russia in all fields based on trust and political cooperation and is a gateway for Russia to promote relations with countries in the region.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation in economics , trade, energy, oil and gas, agriculture, machinery manufacturing and high technology; encourage increased connectivity between localities, businesses and economic associations of the two countries; promote scientific cooperation, technology transfer, joint research; and attach importance to cooperation in education and training.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam sent his regards to President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the Russian State and Government.
