(Dan Tri) - When transporting children under 10 years old and under 1.35m tall in a car, the driver must not let the child sit in the same row of seats. Drivers must use appropriate safety equipment for children, except for cars used for passenger transport.

This content is shown in the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles related to 10 laws on Security and Order, which was just passed by the National Assembly on the morning of December 10.

In particular, with the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the recently passed law has added a provision prohibiting "Disrupting the operation or distorting data of journey monitoring devices, driver image recording devices, and passenger compartment image recording devices".

Another prohibited act is “Using data collected from driver image recording devices and passenger compartment recording devices to infringe upon the dignity, honor, privacy, personal secrets, and other legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations”.

In the current Law, Article 10 states the general rule: “When transporting children under 10 years old and under 1.35m tall in a car, children must not sit in the same row of seats as the driver, except for cars with only one row of seats; the driver must use and instruct on the use of appropriate safety equipment for children”.

This regulation is amended in the direction that "When transporting children under 10 years old and under 1.35m tall in a car, the driver must not let the children sit in the same row of seats, except for cars with only one row of seats; the driver must use and instruct on the use of appropriate safety equipment for children, except for cars used for passenger transport business".

Regarding regulations on conditions for vehicles participating in road traffic, this Law supplements regulations that freight transport vehicles, passenger transport vehicles with less than 8 seats (excluding the driver's seat), tractor-trailers, ambulances, and internal transport vehicles must be equipped with journey monitoring devices and devices to record images of the driver.

Passenger transport vehicles with 8 seats or more (not including the driver's seat) must be equipped with a journey monitoring device, a device to record images of the driver, and a device to record images of the passenger compartment.

According to the provisions of the law, the data management system of journey monitoring devices, driver image recording devices, and passenger compartment image recording devices used by the Traffic Police force is managed, operated, and used; connected and shared with the road management agency and relevant agencies.

By amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Guards, this Law has added the subjects of guarding, the guard regime and measures of guarding for the former Standing Secretary of the Secretariat and guests of the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, to be consistent with the previous addition of the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat to the subjects of guarding.

With the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam, the Law has added the provision "Foreigners who are in the category of special subjects needing incentives to serve socio -economic development are exempted from visas for a limited period".

With the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the Law on Identification, this Law adds a prohibited act of "Requesting citizens to present documents that have been integrated into electronic identification, national identification application to resolve administrative procedures, except in cases where the information provided by citizens is inconsistent with the integrated information or the law provides otherwise".

The Law also adds a provision that “In case the person granted an electronic identification card has presented the electronic identification card at the request of a competent agency, organization or individual, that agency, organization or individual shall not request the person granted an electronic identification card to present documents or provide information that has been integrated into the electronic identification card”.

The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles related to 10 laws on security and order will take effect from July 1, 2026.
