In the context of rapidly changing world and regional situations, complicated traditional and non-traditional security challenges, increasingly sophisticated, difficult to detect and transnational criminal activities, multi-dimensional and direct impacts on stability and social security of both Vietnam and the Russian Federation, Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the two sides continue to effectively implement the Vietnam - Russian Federation Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Office of the Security Council as well as other security and law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation need to continue to promote delegation exchanges at all levels to share information on issues of mutual concern; coordinate in verifying and handling cases related to citizens of the two countries; regularly consult, coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums and mechanisms...

Speaking at the talks, General Sergei Shoigu affirmed that security cooperation between the Security Council and law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam continues to be an important pillar in the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The Secretary expressed his belief that with the political commitment and strong support of the two countries' senior leaders as well as between the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the security and law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation, the two sides will continue to expand cooperation space in many fields such as counter-terrorism; transnational crime prevention; information security assurance, cyber crime prevention; capacity building training for staff in fields where the two sides have potential and needs...
