In particular, households receive support with seeds, fertilizers, and guidance on planting and caring techniques."

"Every year, the Party committee and the commune government direct the relevant organizations and associations to receive entrusted funds and guide people in borrowing preferential loans through banks to develop production. As a result, the poverty rate has decreased over the years," Mr. Hoang Van Lam added.

According to the results of the 2024 review of poor and near-poor households in Kim Dong commune, the total number of poor households in 2024 is 34, a decrease of 33 households compared to 2023. The total number of near-poor households is 135 (of which 30 poor households have been reclassified as near-poor), a decrease of 7 households compared to 2023.

Mr. La Van Tuyen, from Pan Dao village, Kim Dong commune, said his family owns nearly 5 hectares of anise trees, yielding an average income of 3-4 tons of anise flowers annually. In addition, his family has nearly 5 hectares of cinnamon trees, which are already being selectively harvested. Through training courses and exchanges of experience in planting and caring for cinnamon and anise, Mr. Tuyen has gained more expertise in crop care, resulting in high efficiency. On average, his family earns over 100 million VND per year from growing cinnamon and anise.

Meanwhile, in Hung Viet commune, one of the communes in Zone III, the implementation of projects under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction has provided support for production development, helping people to improve their economic situation.

Mr. Dam Van Thuong, from Deo Khach hamlet, Hung Viet commune, Trang Dinh district, said: "Every year, people in the hamlet receive support in the form of plant and animal breeds, vocational training, and loans to develop production... helping people to increase their income."

Projects under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Trang Dinh have helped people improve their economic situation.

Thanks to the synchronized implementation of various solutions, the poverty rate in Trang Dinh district has been reduced. According to preliminary review results (as of November 10, 2024), the poverty rate in the entire district is 2.49% (a decrease of 1.85%); the near-poverty rate is 7.79% (a decrease of 0.41%).

Mr. Ngo Quang Khai, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trang Dinh district, said: Through the implementation of projects under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Trang Dinh district, there have been many positive impacts, creating conditions for poor and near-poor households to access capital sources and information on poverty reduction policies.

According to Mr. Ngo Quang Khai, in the coming period, to further improve the quality of poverty reduction work, the district will continue to implement Resolution No. 47-NQ/TU, dated September 9, 2021, of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee on implementing sustainable poverty reduction work in Lang Son province for the period 2021-2025, with orientation to 2030.

Specifically, the focus will continue to be on integrating the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction with other National Target Programs in the same area to effectively implement support policies, aiming to fundamentally address difficulties in infrastructure at the commune and village levels, and meet the essential needs of the people.
