Recently, during the official visit of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong to Chile, in Santiago de Chile, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, Nguyen Van Hung, and the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile, Carolina Arredondo Marzan, signed the Vietnam-Chile Cultural Cooperation Program for the period 2024-2026.
The cultural cooperation program between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile for the period 2024-2026 aims to further promote the implementation of the Declaration of Intent on cultural cooperation between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Chile signed in 2006.

This will be a premise to promote cultural cooperation between the two countries, bringing the Comprehensive Partnership to continue to deepen, be substantive and effective, and towards elevating the relationship in the coming time.
The main content of the Cultural Cooperation Program includes: strengthening cultural cooperation and exchange between the two countries, promoting the development of creative culture through the exchange of artists and cultural experts, the exchange of expertise, knowledge and information in cultural fields; cooperation in establishing networks of cultural and creative industries, art education at all levels, etc.
Over the past period, Vietnam and Chile have implemented a number of cultural exchange activities. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has supported the Chilean Embassy in Vietnam in organizing the introduction and promotion of Chilean culture through film screenings and exhibitions of paintings and photographs, such as: the Chilean ceramic wall on the Ceramic Road along the Red River dike; the Latin American Film Festival in Vietnam; the Chilean Film Week "Democracy is Memory and the Future"; the Pacific Alliance Film Festival, etc.
In the coming time, the two countries will continue to exchange, coordinate and seek opportunities to introduce the beauty of Vietnamese culture and art to Chilean friends; bringing the image of Vietnam, its land and people closer and more familiar in the eyes of the Chilean people.
