According to information from the Youth Theatre, Dr. Pham Thi Thanh, People's Artist - former Director of the Youth Theatre, former Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, and the first female contemporary theatre director in Vietnam to receive the State Literature and Arts Award in 2012 - passed away on the evening of September 3, 2025, at the age of 85.
Throughout her artistic career, People's Artist Pham Thi Thanh was regarded by her peers as an exemplary figure of hard work and dedication to art.
She has sown precious artistic seeds for many generations, so that the Vietnamese stage can have more talents.
