Continue to promote good traditions and the strength of national unity

This evening, November 12th, in Hanoi , to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 – November 18, 2024), General Secretary To Lam attended the National Unity Day celebration with a large number of people from the Quan Thanh ward, Ba Dinh district.

Also attending were National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; members of the Politburo, Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

Continuing to uphold the fine traditions and strength of national unity - 1

Over the years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh Ward has actively reformed its content and methods of operation, aiming to gather and promote the strength of the great national unity. Implementing the principle of "the people are the foundation," relying on the people to promote their role as masters, their sense of responsibility, creativity, and all their resources; creating social consensus according to the motto "The Party speaks, the people believe; the Fatherland Front and mass organizations mobilize, the people follow; the Government acts, the people support."

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quan Thanh Ward regularly encourages all strata of the people to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, and actively participate in building and protecting the Party and Government, making important contributions to the successful implementation of tasks in economic, cultural, social, national defense and security development, and contributing to building Quan Thanh Ward to maintain its position as a key area of the Capital.

Expressing his pleasure at attending the National Unity Day celebration in the area, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam commended the achievements and efforts of the Party Committee, government, military and people of Hanoi City in general, and Ba Dinh district and Quan Thanh ward in particular, in the past period.

Affirming that, after nearly 80 years of nation-building and nearly 40 years of reform, under the correct and wise leadership of the Party, the decisive involvement of the entire political system; the joint efforts and unity of all strata of the people; and leveraging national strength with the strength of the times, the Vietnamese revolutionary cause has achieved great achievements, the General Secretary emphasized that the strength of the great national unity is always one of the most important and powerful resources for the entire Party, people, and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully implement the cause of reform and national development in general, and build a peaceful, cultured, civilized, and modern capital in particular.

Clearly stating that our country has met all the necessary conditions and is facing a historical opportunity to enter a new era, an era of national progress, however, to achieve this, the General Secretary believes that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to thoroughly understand the viewpoint of "putting the people at the center and subject of all policies and guidelines," "taking the happiness and well-being of the people as the goal to strive for," focusing on removing difficulties and "bottlenecks" to unblock, mobilize and effectively exploit all resources, create opportunities, unleash all potential, strongly promote socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual lives of the people, and ensure that all citizens enjoy the fruits of reform and development, and no one is left behind.

General Secretary To Lam shared: “All policies of the Party and State are focused on the people, everyone is protected and allowed to do what the law permits. I hope that in the coming time, each citizen will strengthen the practice of saving and combating waste, and at the same time actively participate in monitoring the practice of saving and combating waste, promptly detecting and reporting to functional agencies about wasteful acts for handling; I trust and hope that the people in the area will continue to uphold the glorious revolutionary tradition, promote the beautiful traditional cultural identity and the strength of national unity, and work together with the local Party committee and government to resolutely strive to build Quan Thanh ward as well as all areas in Ba Dinh district and the whole of Hanoi into an increasingly prosperous, civilized, and modern ward, worthy of the glorious tradition of a heroic district of the heroic capital, a cultural district of the cultured capital, and a peaceful district of the City for Peace.”

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts to 15 veterans who participated in the liberation of Hanoi and the Dien Bien Phu battlefield; 16 Party members with over 70 years of Party membership; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to the collective of Quan Thanh ward and 22 gifts to couples who have lived happily together for over 50 years and are exemplary cultural families; Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai also presented gifts to exemplary people in the area.
