Overview of the 339-hectare eco-tourism zone along National Highway 14G

DNO - The 339-hectare eco-tourism planning project along National Highway 14G connects various destinations, aiming for sustainable tourism development in the mountainous western region of Da Nang.

On August 12th, at the 2nd Session (Special Session) of the 10th term of the Da Nang City People's Council, 2021-2026, the City People's Council approved a Resolution on the Planning Project for the construction of a tourist area along National Highway 14G in the western ecological zone, at a scale of 1/2,000.

According to the plan, the planned area in Phu Tuc village (Hoa Vang commune) covers approximately 339 hectares. It is bordered to the north and south by the hilly areas of Hoa Vang commune, and to the east and west by National Highway 14G. The planned population target is approximately 1,000 people.

The main functional zones include: a high-quality resort and service area at Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, the expanded area and the new planned area northeast of National Highway 14G; a community-based ecotourism area combining experiences and outdoor activities at Hoa Phu Thanh, Lai Thieu, Suoi Hoa, Doc Kien, along with the new planned area south of National Highway 14G and northwest of the planned area...

In addition, there is a public service area for displaying, exhibiting, and shopping for OCOP products, as well as a point for exchanging and trading agricultural products for the community and tourists.

With the aim of developing into a high-quality eco-tourism and resort area associated with the preservation of natural landscapes, the project aims to create adventure, eco-tourism, resort, and exploration destinations, utilizing and exploiting natural conditions, and connecting a chain of destinations along National Highway 14G such as: Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, Hoa Phu Thanh tourist area, Lai Thieu tourist area, Suoi Hoa tourist area, etc.

The Da Nang City People's Council has assigned the City People's Committee to organize the approval and implementation in accordance with legal regulations, while ensuring the consistency, completeness, and accuracy of data, boundaries, current land status, and infrastructure.

The Standing Committee of the City People's Council, its committees, and its representatives will closely monitor the implementation of the resolution, ensuring that the plan is realized comprehensively, is feasible, and maximizes the potential of ecotourism in western Da Nang.
