Optimizing lighting for Long Thanh airport terminal

Skylights are installed on both the body and wings of Long Thanh airport's passenger terminal, and are expected to last more than 4 months.

According to the Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board, since the beginning of March, the joint venture contractor has begun installing skylight glass on the roof of the Long Thanh International Airport passenger terminal. This type of glass helps the passenger terminal roof get natural light.

Skylights are installed in both the body and wings of Long Thanh airport passenger terminal. The installation is expected to last more than 4 months.

Regarding the construction and equipment installation package of the Long Thanh airport passenger terminal, up to now, the terminal has completed all reinforced concrete underground and 4 floors. At the same time, the work of completing the erection of the roof steel structure, installing the vertical glass wall system, and the main roof of the terminal is underway.

The contractor has completed the erection of the central station's steel roof. However, the central roof is heavy (about 5,500 tons) and the erection technique is complicated, so the units are adjusting it and are expected to lift the central station's steel roof in mid-March 2025.

According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the Long Thanh International Airport construction investment project is simultaneously implementing items of component project 1 (construction of headquarters of State management agencies), component project 2 (works serving flight management), and component project 3 (essential works in the airport).

Of which, component project 3 is the largest and most important component project at Long Thanh airport with a total investment of more than VND 99,000 billion, including 16 construction and equipment packages.

Currently, the main item in the Component 3 project, the passenger terminal, is being accelerated in construction. Because the terminal has many complex items, high technical nature, designed with advanced and modern technology, it takes time to order and operate.
