The exhibition of works participating in the Award will take place until August 28 at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association (218A Pasteur, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
This year, the Organizing Committee received 163 silk paintings by 116 authors from many localities such as Quang Ninh, Gia Lai, Can Tho , Dong Nai, Vinh Long... and the main creative force in Ho Chi Minh City. After the preliminary round, 114 works by 89 authors were selected for display and award.
The work "Em/me" by artist Le Thi Que Huong won first prize.

After a period of stagnation, silk painting is gradually reviving with the increasing participation of young artists. Thanks to creative experiments in technique and expression, silk painting today has a new breath, is positively received by experts and the public, contributing to enriching contemporary art life.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, the award ceremony is not only a recognition of artistic creative efforts, but also a motivation for generations of artists to continue to preserve, renew and spread the value of silk paintings in the flow of modern culture and art.
