At exactly 7:05 a.m. on October 28 local time (2:05 p.m. Hanoi time), General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived at London Stansted Airport, London, to begin an official visit to the UK at the invitation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, from October 28 to 30.

Welcoming General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation at the airport, on the British side were: Deputy Foreign Minister Seema Malhotra, British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew, and representative of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Stephan Walton.
On the Vietnamese side, there were: Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Do Minh Hung and his wife; officers and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK . Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Do Minh Hung and representative of the Protocol Department of the UK Foreign Office Stephan Walton boarded the plane to welcome General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on an official visit to the UK.
General Secretary To Lam and his wife got off the plane, shook hands with officials and cadres from both sides, and were happily welcomed by the officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK .
The official visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation this time took place on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - UK Strategic Partnership (2010 - 2025), an important milestone for the two countries to look back on the past cooperation journey, evaluate the outstanding achievements, and at the same time set out a new vision and development orientation for bilateral relations in the coming period.
