The Red Star Award Ceremony - Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs 2025 is one of the special events to welcome the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association , term 2025 - 2030 with the theme "Aspiration for Prosperity" taking place on November 26 and 27, 2025.
According to Mr. Dang Hong Anh - Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, 26 years ago, in 1999, when the country entered a key stage of the renovation process, the Red Star Award was born - demonstrating a historical vision: highly appreciating the role of entrepreneurs, especially young entrepreneurs in the development of the country. The reality of more than a quarter of a century has proven the correctness of that vision, especially in the context of Vietnam's economy deeply integrating into the world economy.
Red Star - the flag that gathers inspiration for entrepreneurs
"The Red Star is not only an award to honor, but also a profound political and social action. The Red Star has pioneered in encouraging and motivating the young generation to enthusiastically start a business, take the lead on the economic front, and contribute to changing the awareness of the whole society about the role and position of entrepreneurs" - Mr. Hong Anh commented.
From a Young Entrepreneurs Club with 15 initial members, the Young Entrepreneurs Association has grown steadily to 21,000 members. And the Red Star Award is the rallying flag, the source of inspiration, the place to discover and nurture the most core "nuclei" of the movement.
The association's business community is generating annual revenue of over 40 billion USD, contributing over 10% of GDP and creating jobs for over 5 million workers. The 10 enterprises in the Top 10 Sao Do 2025 alone have total assets of over 2.8 million billion VND, generating revenue of 214.2 billion VND and paying the budget 13,600 billion VND.
The businesses represent many key sectors: industry, technology, finance, trade, agriculture, logistics, tourism, education, and digital transformation. "This is proof that young entrepreneurs are truly becoming the main force of the national economy. They are also leading the digital transformation process, innovation, and application of high technology to create products and services with high added value and international competitiveness," Mr. Hong Anh emphasized.
The Red Star Award - Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs 2025 was launched in July 2025. The Organizing Committee has recorded more than 300 registered candidates. Through the selection process, 137 profiles from 26 provinces and cities were nominated to participate in the award. On October 2, 2025, the National Preliminary Council met and selected 120 candidates for the final round. Immediately after the Preliminary Conference, 43 on-site appraisal teams went directly to each enterprise to evaluate the profiles as well as the production and business activities of the candidates.
At the General Conference, the Council unanimously selected the TOP 100 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs 2025, the TOP 30 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs and secretly voted to select the 10 Best Young Entrepreneurs to award the Red Star Award 2025.

Mr. Le Ngoc Lam - General Director of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam with a solid foundation in the field of finance and banking, has contributed to promoting the strategy of transforming and modernizing the banking system, helping BIDV maintain its position as the leading bank in Vietnam and continuously be in the Top 1,000 largest listed enterprises in the world.
With those efforts, BIDV General Director was awarded the Red Star Entrepreneur Award by the Voting Council.
Building a patriotic business culture
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated the outstanding young entrepreneurs, showing the strength of the new generation of entrepreneurs.

He affirmed: Young entrepreneurs play a very important role in the integration and socio-economic development of the country. 100 outstanding entrepreneurs attending the congress are managing enterprises with a total revenue of over 310,000 billion VND in 2024, contributing over 20,600 billion VND to the budget, creating jobs for nearly 60,000 workers. Notably, 10 entrepreneurs receiving the Red Star Award 2025 are running leading economic groups, with a total revenue of over 214,000 billion VND.
In order for businesses and entrepreneurs to continue to promote their role, Mr. Chien emphasized the need for businesses to be pioneers and vanguards on the front of industrialization, modernization, core technology innovation, leading in digital transformation, green transformation, conquering new heights of technology and the global market.
Entrepreneurs need to build a patriotic, honest, and transparent business culture. The brand of an enterprise does not only lie in the value of its assets, but more importantly, it lies in the personality of the leader, which is the most sustainable "passport".
The Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also suggested that 10 Red Star entrepreneurs and 100 outstanding young entrepreneurs should be the core of solidarity, spreading and leading, inspiring, supporting, and guiding smaller businesses and startups. Strengthening connections, creating strong ecosystems, together creating the combined strength of the Vietnamese young business community.
On November 27, the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association for the 2025-2030 term will officially open, setting a goal for the next term that the member business community will contribute 15% of the national GDP and create jobs for 8 million workers.
