Vikoda's CEO rejects the idea of curing cancer with alkaline water.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, CEO of Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company, affirmed that there is no medical evidence to suggest that alkaline water can cure cancer, as current advertisements claim.
She also emphasized that Vikoda natural alkaline mineral water is a 100% natural product from the Danh Thanh natural alkaline mineral source, containing trace minerals that support health, but it is not a cure for diseases.
Recently, there have been many hospitalizations due to the belief that alkaline water can cure all diseases. What is Ms. Nga's opinion on this issue? And is Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company – the producer of Vikoda natural alkaline mineral water – involved in this information?
I would like to state that Vikoda natural alkaline mineral water is not related to the recent hospitalizations and is not a treatment for any disease, especially cancer.

Currently, many companies producing alkaline ionized water or selling alkaline ionizer machines promote the medicinal benefits of their products. However, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that alkaline water has any therapeutic effects such as preventing cancer, reducing pain, aiding weight loss, increasing milk production, enhancing creativity, or boosting immunity, etc.
Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company has been developing for 34 years, based on the Danh Thanh natural alkaline mineral water source discovered in 1901.
With Vikoda natural alkaline mineral water (formerly Danh Thanh natural alkaline mineral water), we have conducted clinical studies in 1978, 1983, 1986, and 1991, as well as research by the provincial health agency. Currently, we are collaborating with experts to revise the research for more up-to-date information.
As you mentioned, the manufacturer Vikoda is collaborating on a joint report on the effects of natural alkaline mineral water. Which effect do you consider the most significant?
Every year we analyze the water's composition, showing that valuable trace minerals such as metasilicic acid, bicarbonate, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and sodium remain the same as before, helping to supplement the body with precious natural minerals.
Specifically, Vikoda's valuable trace mineral source, with a total dissolved solids (TDS) of 100-400 mg/liter, provides H₂SiO₃ for healthy skin, HCO₃ for a healthy digestive system, Na⁺ for electrolyte balance, K⁺ for nerve and blood pressure stability, Ca²⁺ to support bones and muscles, and Mg²⁺ to reduce stress and improve sleep.
In particular, Vikoda has a high antioxidant capacity with an ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential) of -100mV, providing strong antioxidant properties that help neutralize free radicals and slow down the aging process.

At the 12th Ho Chi Minh City Expanded Nutrition Conference in 2024, experts emphasized the benefits of natural alkaline mineral water based on international clinical research.

Research conducted from 1977-1986 confirmed that the Vikoda natural alkaline mineral water source in Dien Tan, Khanh Hoa, has stable properties and composition with very little change. Vikoda natural alkaline mineral water is a type of water containing trace minerals and very hot silica, similar to Kuldur mineral water (Soviet Union), Pavel Bania (Bulgaria), Evian, Plom Pieres (France), and Bath (England),… It is completely non-toxic, supplements trace minerals, supports antioxidant capacity, and helps with some disease groups as I mentioned.
