Ho Chi Minh City: Enterprises must announce 2025 salaries and 2026 Tet bonuses before December 20

Ho Chi Minh City requests that businesses coordinate with labor representative organizations, fully report salaries and bonuses, and publicly disclose payment plans to ensure workers' rights.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs has just sent a document to businesses in the area requesting reports on the labor situation, wages in 2025, and the 2026 Tet bonus plan to stabilize labor relations, ensure workers' rights, and create conditions for businesses to focus on production and business before the New Year and Lunar New Year 2026.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs requested that businesses coordinate and discuss with the organization representing employees at the facility, based on the labor contract, collective labor agreement, salary and bonus regulations to develop a bonus plan based on production and business results in 2025.

This plan must be established, completed and announced to employees before December 20, 2025. All information related to salaries, bonuses, allowances (Tet gifts, support for train/bus tickets home, etc.), Tet holidays, annual leave and payment times must be informed early and fully so that employees are fully aware.

In addition, businesses must provide full information on salaries, bonuses, allowances, Tet support (gifts, train and bus tickets home, etc.), Tet holidays, annual leave, and the time of salary and bonus payment.

At the same time, businesses must pay on time, avoid unpaid wages and bonuses leading to labor disputes. If arranging Tet holiday combined with annual leave, businesses must consult employees and notify according to Article 112 of the Labor Code.

In case of payment difficulties, enterprises must promptly discuss with the organization representing the collective of workers and report to competent authorities such as the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of the commune/ward, the grassroots trade union, the working groups of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the Management Board of the Export Processing Zone - Industrial Park, the Management Board of the High-Tech Park, etc. to receive coordinated support. The Department also encourages enterprises to increase dialogue and sign collective labor agreements to ensure the welfare of workers.
