Thanh Hoa City and Quang Xuong and Cam Thuy districts launched a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 3.

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Document No. 113/MTTQ-BTT of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, on the afternoon of September 11, Thanh Hoa City and the districts of Quang Xuong and Cam Thuy launched a fundraising campaign to support people in overcoming the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3.

* In Thanh Hoa City, attending the launching ceremony were: Mr. Le Anh Xuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Council; and Mr. Tran Anh Chung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee.

Upholding the nation's fine tradition of "mutual support and compassion," at the launching ceremony, the Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council of Thanh Hoa, Le Anh Xuan, along with officials, civil servants, and employees of the City Party Committee, the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, and political and social organizations of Thanh Hoa City, participated in contributing and supporting the initiative.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa City, Le Anh Xuan, emphasized: The donation and support is an activity with high humanitarian significance, demonstrating the feelings and responsibilities of each official, civil servant, and worker in the city, contributing to helping people affected by the disaster overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize their lives.

The Party Secretary and Chairman of the City People's Council requested that agencies, units, and functional departments call upon officials, civil servants, and all segments of the population, as well as philanthropists, to provide the highest level of support. The City Fatherland Front needs to provide specific guidance to the Fatherland Fronts of wards and communes to ensure that the appeals and mobilization efforts are highly effective.

* In the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," at the launching ceremony, the leaders of Quang Xuong district and all officials, civil servants, and employees of agencies, departments, and organizations; and officers and soldiers of the armed forces units in the district directly donated at least one day's salary to support the people affected by typhoon No. 3.

Leaders of the District Party Committee, the Fatherland Front, and other organizations in Quang Xuong district donated and supported people affected by typhoon No. 3.

Officials from the Quang Xuong district government donated and provided support to people affected by Typhoon No. 3.

Quang Xuong district also launched a campaign urging communes, towns, agencies, units, political and social organizations, and businesses in the area to show concern, share, and support in various forms for people who suffered heavy losses due to typhoon No. 3.

* Cam Thuy District has launched an appeal to all departments, organizations, political and social groups, and communes and towns in the area to join hands in supporting people in localities affected by storms and floods.

The leaders of Cam Thuy district expressed their support for the people affected by Typhoon No. 3.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, district leaders, heads of departments, agencies, mass organizations, and socio-political organizations; and leaders of communes and towns in the district donated to support the flood-affected people.

Following the fundraising event at the district level, localities and units within the district continued to organize fundraising activities at the grassroots level, joining hands to help people in the northern provinces overcome the difficulties and losses caused by floods.
