7th grade female student was beaten by a gang for returning the wrong helmet

TPO – The initial cause came from the fact that female student M. in Binh Thuan borrowed and lost H.’s helmet. Afterwards, M. bought a new helmet to compensate H., but it was not the same color as the old helmet, so H. did not accept it, and thus a conflict arose.

On November 12, Mr. Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, sent a document to the Department ofEducation and Training of Binh Thuan Province and the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Nam District to urgently check the contents of the 7th grade female student who was hospitalized due to school violence, and on that basis, strictly handle according to regulations.

Units must report to Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee before November 15.

Previously, a video clip of a group of girls wearing school uniforms beating another female student was circulated on social media. According to Tien Phong reporters, the female student beaten in the clip is NLTM, born in 2012, a 7th grade student at Thuan Nam Secondary School, Thuan Nam town, Ham Thuan Nam district.

After the incident, M. was taken by her mother to the commune police station to report that a group of female students from the same school had beaten her and filmed the video at the Tan Lap lake dam area, in Tan Lap commune, Ham Thuan Nam district.

The clip recorded the scene of many female students in uniforms, rushing to beat M.'s head and back, while another student used a phone to record. The clip was later posted on social media, causing great indignation to the family of the beaten student.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Ham Thuan Nam district, the initial cause came from student M. borrowing and losing NTMH's helmet.

While playing with a group of friends at Tan Lap Lake, the two continued to argue, leading to a fight. H.'s group of four friends attacked M. One of them used his phone to record the incident.

Currently, the beaten female student has not returned to school. The remaining female students are still attending school as usual. Thuan Nam Secondary School has established a Disciplinary Council and will hold a meeting to consider and handle disciplinary action against the students involved on the afternoon of November 14.
