
On October 19, Science Fair 2025 with the theme "Nurturing curiosity today - Creating sustainable change tomorrow" was held in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Thai Mai Lan, Director of the Goethe-Institut in Ho Chi Minh City, said that 2025 not only marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany, but also marks the 15th anniversary of the Science Film Festival held in Vietnam. Therefore, the Science Fair 2025 is a very meaningful commemorative activity hosted by the Goethe-Institut in Ho Chi Minh City, under the auspices of the German Consulate General, in coordination with partners.
Science Fair 2025 has 3 main activity areas: indoor, outdoor, performance stage.
For indoor activities, the program introduces a series of free science films with the theme “Green Jobs”, about people who silently preserve the green planet. Here, films such as Mother of the Sea (Umi No Oya), Bubbles (Bubbles) , Forever Seven...
The program also broadens perspectives on green science and sustainable development, inspiring action for the Earth from small things in life through experiments and creative interactions.
This activity also provides a spacious reading space, implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library in collaboration with Tre Publishing House.
There are also talkshow and exhibition series such as: From the fields to the dinner table ; City, how to live long?; Art, Pot-tach , Germination ; Plan Z: When Science Rebels ; Applying Science and Technology in Future Careers .
In the outdoor activities, there are dozens of booths combining visual science experiments and creative cuisine, bringing a multi-sensory journey of discovery to participants. In particular, the “Autumn Train” project launched the “Green Profession Bookshelf” with 18 selected books revolving around ecological agriculture , renewable energy and nature conservation…
With the main stage of Science Fair 2025, participants experienced making 3D products from recycled materials, thereby sending a message of green living.
