| Along with fruit trees, tea has been identified as a key crop of Trang Xa commune. |
Looking back at the 2020-2025 term, despite many difficulties, Trang Xa commune has maintained its development momentum with many targets met and exceeded the resolution. The value of production in key economic sectors increased by an average of 7.17% per year; the forest cover rate reached over 54%; and annual budget revenue increased consistently.
Notably, the commune has completed 17 out of 19 criteria for new rural development, creating a foundation to "reach the finish line" in the next term. Based on this foundation, the local economy is developing based on its strengths in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
Trang Xa maintains an annual production of over 7,800 tons of fresh tea leaves, with many products receiving OCOP certification. Alongside this, the commune is developing sustainable forestry, livestock farming, and aquaculture.
Small-scale industries and services have also gradually expanded, contributing to the diversification of livelihoods for the people. Alongside production development, over the past five years, Trang Xa has built nearly 100 infrastructure projects, ranging from schools, health stations, and cultural centers to transportation, irrigation, and street lighting.
The face of rural areas has changed significantly, and the material and spiritual lives of the people have improved. Along with this, the socio-cultural sector has also seen many positive changes.
Currently, 8 out of 9 schools in the commune meet national standards, with no more temporary classrooms; healthcare services are regularly maintained with over 6,000 medical examinations and treatments per year. Social welfare and poverty reduction policies are implemented effectively, helping to reduce the poverty rate by an average of 3.75% per year.
These results further strengthen the people's confidence in the leadership of the Party and local government. Emphasis was placed on Party building and strengthening the political system, with over 90% of Party branches successfully completing their tasks.
Mr. Trieu Van Vi, Secretary of the Hop Nhat hamlet Party branch, shared: "We clearly feel the changes in our homeland over the past years. The people trust in the leadership of the Party and actively participate in movements, especially in building new rural areas."
Mr. Luong Van Nghia, a resident of Lo Gach hamlet, shared: "In recent years, roads, schools, and cultural centers have been built, making life much easier for the people. However, finding markets for agricultural products remains difficult, and the prices of key fruits like pomelo, longan, and dragon fruit are not yet stable. We hope to continue receiving support in connecting with markets and building brands so that we can produce with peace of mind."
The concerns of the people are also the worries of the Party Committee and the government in the new development phase. This shows that the journey ahead for Trang Xa requires more fundamental solutions, closely linked to practical life. For the period 2025-2030, Trang Xa commune aims to build a clean and strong Party and political system; promote democracy and unity; effectively mobilize resources for socio-economic development, while ensuring national defense and security and improving the lives of the people.
The commune strives for an average economic growth rate of 7.4% per year; the economic structure is shifting towards gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture and increasing industry, construction, and services. By 2030, Trang Xa is determined to become a green and sustainable new rural commune.
To realize this goal, the locality has identified key solutions as: improving the quality of cadres and Party members; promoting administrative reform; developing synchronous infrastructure; actively applying science and technology and promoting digital transformation; while preserving cultural identity and promoting the strength of national unity.
| Trang Xa commune currently has 285 hectares of pomelo orchards, yielding an average income of 100-150 million VND per hectare. |
Comrade Duong Quoc Toan affirmed: To achieve great goals, the most important thing is to promote a spirit of initiative, creativity, and daring to think and act, considering the people as the center and the subjects of development. Only when the people truly benefit can the goals be sustainable.
The long stretches of concrete roads, the endless green tea plantations, the spacious new houses, and the cheerful sounds of children in the schoolyard are vivid evidence of the daily changes taking place in this highland region. Trang Xa is continuing its development story with faith, determination, and a desire to rise above adversity.
With its revolutionary tradition and the unity of the Party Committee, government, and people, Trang Xa will surely achieve great goals, becoming a green, sustainable, and culturally rich development area in the not-too-distant future...
