The oyster mushroom growing model is quite simple, easy to care for, and yields a quick harvest. Thanks to taking advantage of available materials and labor days of officers and soldiers, the cost is low and brings high efficiency. Major Nguyen Tuan Long, the person directly in charge of the model, shared: "Before starting to grow, I researched and learned from the practical experience of the people. The factors that determine success include: Temperature, humidity, light and ventilation. When it is time to harvest, you must pick within 3 days, preferably in the morning or cool afternoon so that the mushrooms retain their freshness and deliciousness."

In recent times, along with successfully completing political tasks, training, and combat readiness, the PTKV 2-Phu Loi Command has proactively overcome difficulties in infrastructure and accommodation, and promoted production and livestock raising. This is not only an important solution to ensure on-site logistics, improve meal quality, and improve soldiers' lives, but also to support vegetables, tubers, and fruits for local people through the "Military Clean Vegetables" model. Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Quang Anh, Deputy Head of Logistics and Engineering, said: "The unit was newly established under the two-level local government model, so it encountered many initial difficulties. However, the unit determined that the more difficult it is, the more proactive and creative it must be. Increasing production is not only to have more clean food, but more importantly, to maintain health, improve meal quality, and build a strong and comprehensive unit."

From that perspective, the Logistics-Technical Department has advised the unit commander to direct the synchronous planning of production areas, combining sustainable cultivation and livestock farming, suitable to actual conditions; improving soil quality, flexibly selecting crops and livestock suitable to the climate and season. Currently, the PTKV 2-Phu Loi Command maintains hundreds of poultry and livestock along with fish ponds and a system of gardens and trellises with a variety of green vegetables, tubers and fruits. Thanks to that, the unit is self-sufficient in vegetables, meat, eggs... for daily meals.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Phuong Khanh, Deputy Commander of the PTKV 2-Phu Loi Command, shared: "We value scientific methods, clearly assign responsibilities, apply techniques and always promote food safety and hygiene in production and livestock farming. The important thing is that, through production and livestock farming, officers and soldiers are more united, have an environment to practice responsibility, love of work and agile working style. In particular, the " Military Clean Vegetables" model to support the people, maintained by the unit in coordination with the Military Commands of 28 communes and wards in the area every month, has contributed to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, demonstrating the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers serving the people."
