Trong Tan: Anh Tho is full of love

With her sweet, naturally folk-infused voice, excellent vocal technique, and life experiences, singer Anh Thơ has been a leading name in this genre for many years, following People's Artist Thu Hiền and People's Artist Thanh Hoa.

The singer revealed that she had long harboured the dream of holding a solo live show to express her gratitude to her hometown audience, and now she finally has the opportunity to do so. She carefully discussed and selected the songs with music director Hong Kien. Anh Tho shared: “There will definitely be some old songs, but I will also sing some very new ones. This live show will not only feature singing but also short skits to keep the audience entertained.”

People's Artist Tu Long and People's Artist Xuan Bac have shared the stage with Anh Tho since 1998, so when they were invited, both were excited. Xuan Bac jokingly said that Anh Tho had invited him but he was still worried, texting to ask: "Bac, how much is the fee? Do I have to transfer the money in advance?" Xuan Bac told Anh Tho not to worry about this because since he had accepted the invitation, he would give his all to make the performance truly impressive.

People's Artist Xuan Bac directly wrote the script for the skit in which Anh Tho will play a scrap metal seller. "Anh Tho trusted me, but at times she hesitated, reminding me to make her character, even though she's a scrap metal seller, look a little pretty at the end of the skit. I told her to rest assured, since I wrote the script and Anh Tho is acting alongside me, People's Artist Tu Long, and Xuan Hinh, everything will be fine," People's Artist Xuan Bac said.

As a close friend and fellow student from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Trong Tan expressed his joy at participating in Anh Tho's live show. "Anh Tho is full of love right now. She also receives a lot of support from everyone, which is why she's been able to invite many male artists to participate. During the concert, I will be singing a duet with Anh Tho, hoping to leave a lasting impression on the audience," Trong Tan shared.

Besides guest appearances by Xuan Hinh, Tu Long, Xuan Bac, and Trong Tan, the singer's "Nang Tho Tro Ve" live show also features three friends from her hometown of Thanh Hoa : semi-classic singer Le Anh Dung, her close friend and fellow countryman Ho Quang 8, and young folk artist Duong Bao Quang.

Young folk artist Duong Bao Quang said: “Although we only just announced Anh Tho's live show in Thanh Hoa, many friends and businesses have already registered to buy tickets, and we've sold about 500 tickets so far. I told singer Anh Tho to focus on her professional performance and sing and act well with the guests, and if the show loses money, I will compensate her; if there is any profit, she should use all of it for charity.”
