Taking place just over a week after General Secretary To Lam's visit to Singapore and the upgrading of Vietnam-Singapore relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the first official visit of Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to Vietnam promises to further realize the results of General Secretary To Lam's visit to Singapore and the substance of the new framework of relations between the two countries.
In addition to talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, during his visit to Vietnam, Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is expected to hold meetings with high-ranking leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State, and National Assembly , as well as participate in other activities.
During the visit, the two sides continued to discuss the implementation and realization of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore, sharing strategic goals and issues of mutual interest to overcome challenges and enhance resilience.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong stepped onto the honorary platform, and the national anthems of Singapore and Vietnam were played.
