Ha Tinh fishermen earn hundreds of millions after catching big golden fish

On April 28th, Mr. Tran Tuan Vu, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Cam Nhuong commune, Cam Xuyen district ( Ha Tinh province), informed reporters that fisherman Le Xuan Tien, from Xuan Bac village, Cam Nhuong commune, had just caught a valuable haul of golden pomfret weighing over 1 ton. As soon as the boat docked, locals and traders vied to buy it, earning him over 300 million VND.

According to fisherman Le Xuan Tien, while the crew was casting nets in an area around Boc Island (about 1.5km from Cam Nhuong estuary, Cam Xuyen district), they unexpectedly discovered a school of yellowfin tuna. Le Xuan Tien and the other fishermen on the boat surrounded the school of fish with nets, and after nearly 40 minutes, the school of yellowfin tuna was completely caught in the nets.

When fisherman Le Xuan Tien's boat caught a large haul of golden scad, it docked at Cam Nhuong. Locals and traders, having heard the news, arrived very early to buy the fish. Within two hours, the entire 1-ton catch was sold. The golden scad sold for 350,000-450,000 VND/kg, bringing in approximately 300 million VND.

Reportedly, this is the largest catch of yellowfin tuna that fisherman Le Xuan Tien has caught since the beginning of the year. Previously, he had also had many successful catches of this valuable species.
