Hai Phong University temporarily suspends lecturer accused of sexually harassing female student

Confirming with VietNamNet reporter, tonight (June 24), the leader of Hai Phong University said that he is directing professional departments to verify information about a female student who accused Mr. PTD, a lecturer of this subject, of repeatedly using inappropriate words, harassing and sexually harassing her during her military training.

Previously, on the evening of June 22, on the student group of Hai Phong University, the TC account posted an article about a military lecturer of the Center for National Defense and Security Education (Hai Phong University) repeatedly calling to solicit sex, using inappropriate words.

The article was accompanied by 7 videos recording a conversation via Zalo, which was said to be between a male lecturer and a female student. According to the shared content, in June, the school organized a military training session for students at the National Defense and Security Education Center.

During the course, a lecturer repeatedly called a female student to sexually harass her. Not only by phone, this lecturer also called the female student to his private room to continue sexually harassing her.

"For everyone, military service is the happiest memory of student life, but for me, it is not. The three weeks were like playing an escape game and counting the days until the course ends...", the female student wrote on social media.

Upon receiving the information, Hai Phong University directed specialized departments to investigate.
