Confirming with VietNamNet reporters this evening (June 24), the leadership of Hai Phong University stated that they are directing relevant departments to verify information regarding a female student's accusation that during her military training, she was repeatedly subjected to inappropriate language, harassment, and sexual advances by Professor PTD, a lecturer in the department.
Previously, on the evening of June 22nd, a user named TC posted on a group for students of Hai Phong University about a military lecturer from the Center for National Defense and Security Education (Hai Phong University) repeatedly calling and making inappropriate advances.
The article included seven videos recording conversations via Zalo, allegedly between a male lecturer and a female student. According to the shared content, in June, the school organized a military training course for students at the National Defense and Security Education Center.
During the course, a lecturer repeatedly called female students, propositioning and sexually harassing them. Not only did he do this over the phone, but he also summoned the female students to his private office to continue his advances.
"For everyone else, military training is the happiest memory of their student life, but for me, it wasn't. Three weeks was like playing hide-and-seek, counting down the days until the course ended...", this female student wrote on social media.
Upon receiving the information, Hai Phong University directed its specialized departments to investigate and verify the matter.
