Candidates taking the high school graduation exam this year
This morning (July 19), the University of Economics and Law (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) announced the minimum quality assurance threshold (cutoff score) for admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam results.
Accordingly, the minimum score for admission to the 2024 regular undergraduate program using this method is 21 or higher, applicable to all majors and admission combinations.
This is the total score of the 3 subjects/exams (without weighting) in the subject combination used for admission that the candidate achieved in the 2024 high school graduation exam.
The school also noted that this minimum score is only for accepting applications based on high school graduation exam scores, and is not the admission score or the cutoff score.
The admission information for each specific major is shown in the following table:
Furthermore, this year's minimum entrance quality threshold is also a condition for candidates to be officially admitted through the priority admission method of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (Method 2). Candidates eligible for admission through this method must have a score of 21 points or higher in the 2024 high school graduation exam for subjects in the A00, A01, D01, or D07 subject combinations to be officially admitted to the university.
In 2024, the University of Economics and Law will admit 2,600 students across 15 majors, with 33 specializations/programs based on 4 subject combinations: A00, A01, D01, and D07. For the method of admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, the university still reserves approximately 45% of the quotas for all majors/specializations.
