Lesson 1: Maintaining quality in a difficult "siege"
Despite difficulties due to lack of facilities and staff, thanks to solidarity, joint efforts and dedication, the unit still maintains the quality of education .
Many challenges in facilities, the team is still strong
According to a statistical report from the Department of Education and Training of Dak Nong (old), in the 2024-2025 school year, Phan Chu Trinh - Cu Jut High School (Lam Dong) continued to affirm its position as a key educational institution in the Central Highlands border region. Despite facing many difficulties in terms of facilities, human resources and equipment, the school still maintained the quality of teaching and learning, achieving many important targets in both mass and spearhead education.
Specifically, in this school year, the whole school has 35 classes with 1,393 students, of which ethnic minority students account for nearly 17%. The number of students is large while the facilities are limited: the whole school only has 20 solid classrooms, not meeting the requirements of teaching two sessions/day according to the 2018 General Education Program. There is a lack of practice equipment, some special subjects such as National Defense - Security, Physical Education, Information Technology, Experiential Activities, ... must be arranged to study in rotation.

Speaking to GD&TĐ Newspaper, Ms. Tran Thi Hien - Principal of the school said that to ensure 2 sessions/day, the school needs to build 20 new classrooms. "This is also one of the basic conditions for the school to meet the criteria of a national standard school in the period 2025-2030", Ms. Hien said.
According to Ms. Hien, not only is there a shortage of classrooms, the school also lacks human resources in many positions such as: equipment, medical , teaching, school counseling... In addition, the situation of local surplus - shortage of teachers in some subjects also significantly affects the arrangement of timetables and the organization of periodic tests - assessments. However, the Board of Directors and the teaching staff still find many flexible solutions to adapt.
“Currently, the unit has 83 cadres, teachers and employees. In the previous school year, 3 positions were transferred to medical, equipment, physical education - national defense and security, then these positions were cut. The surplus of teachers occurred in Math and natural science because only about 30% of students chose this combination. Therefore, natural science teachers have to take on many areas such as: homeroom teacher, equipment, school counseling, education, technology, experiential activities, Youth Union activities, etc.," Ms. Hien informed.
To solve the above problem, the school proactively arranged a reasonable timetable, mobilized maximum classroom capacity; increased inter-room teaching and shift changes; utilized old equipment, and mobilized legal socialization to supplement facilities. Along with that, self-training and sharing of expertise between groups were promoted; teachers designed their own digital lessons, effectively exploited existing equipment to meet the requirements of innovation.

Collective courage - the foundation for maintaining stable quality
It can be said that, in difficult conditions, the most valuable thing that Phan Chu Trinh High School has built is the spirit of unity and the courage to overcome difficulties of the teaching staff. Each teacher considers the quality of student education as a "measure of honor", proactively innovates methods, applies information technology, increases class observation, and professional activities according to lesson research.
The school also seriously conducts internal inspection, transparent and objective evaluation, promptly encourages and rewards teachers with initiatives and effective innovations. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has become a regular activity, creating motivation to strive in each professional group.

According to the leader of the former Dak Nong Department of Education and Training, although there are still "bottlenecks" that need to be resolved, such as degraded classrooms, unsynchronized equipment or a lack of teachers in some subjects, the results achieved in the past school year are clear evidence of the sense of responsibility and love for the profession of the teaching staff.
Student learning outcomes for the 2024-2025 school year continue to remain stable at a high level. The entire school has 94% of students achieving academic performance at the level of "Pass" or higher, of which 58.9% are Good - Excellent. The percentage of students practicing at the level of "Pass" or higher is 99%, of which the level of Good - Excellent accounts for 97.3%.
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, the school achieved a pass rate of 98.6%, higher than the provincial average. Students who excelled in cultural subjects, Olympic, IOE, English speaking, and scientific and technical research all won provincial prizes. In particular, many ethnic minority students boldly participated in intellectual playgrounds, showing the spread of the spirit of learning in the region with many difficulties.
In addition to professional achievements, the school also leaves its mark with many experiential activities, career guidance, arts, sports; and active and cohesive clubs. The cooperative relationship between school - family - society is strengthened, contributing to building a safe and friendly educational environment.
Scale for the 2024-2025 school year: 35 classes/1,393 students, of which 17% are ethnic minority students. Solid classrooms: 20/35 classes, lacking practice rooms.
High school graduation rate: 98.6%. Academic performance from "Pass" or higher: 94%, of which Good - Excellent: 58.9%. Conduct from "Pass" or higher: 99%.
