On May 6, the Department of Transport ( Ministry of Transport ) coordinated with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, the Department of Transport and the Center for Continuing Education - Vocational Education of Buon Ma Thuot City to organize propaganda on road and waterway traffic safety and drowning prevention for nearly 350 officials, teachers and students of the Center.
The propaganda session aims to equip students with basic knowledge of first aid and emergency care for accidents; raise awareness and responsibility of students and the community in implementing measures to prevent and combat accidents and injuries, basic fire prevention and fighting skills; prevent drowning for children; create a safe learning and playing environment for students; contribute to preventing and reducing road and inland waterway traffic accidents and preventing drowning for children nationwide.

At the propaganda session, the staff, teachers and students of the Center were informed about safe traffic participation skills such as: observing when going through intersections; wearing helmets properly; obeying traffic lights; not weaving, swerving, or recklessly overtaking... At the same time, students were instructed on necessary skills in first aid and emergency care for accidents, including traffic accidents and measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and skills to prevent drowning for children.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Nguyen Cong Bang said that in order to contribute to reducing traffic accidents for children, the Party and the Government have issued many related mechanisms and policies. In particular, one of the general goals of the National Strategy on ensuring road traffic order and safety for the period 2021 - 2030 and vision to 2045 is to aim for "Traffic participants to have knowledge, skills, awareness of law enforcement on traffic order and safety, forming a culture of safe traffic".
Representative of the Department of Transport (Ministry of Transport) presented a symbolic plaque to donate 300 standard helmets to the VocationalEducation - Continuing Education Center of Buon Ma Thuot City.
To achieve the above goal, specifically for students, the Strategy has proposed the solution of "Completing the curriculum and teaching materials and incorporating legal education content on ensuring traffic order and safety, traffic culture, and safe traffic participation skills into the official curriculum, in experiential activities, and extracurricular activities for students; strengthening coordination between families, schools and society in traffic safety education for students".
On this occasion, the Ministry of Transport presented 300 standard helmets to the Center for Continuing Education - Vocational Education of Buon Ma Thuot City.
