According to the plan, the Vietnam U23 team will train at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center ( Hanoi ) until October 7th, and then will travel to the UAE for a training camp.

Here, the team will have two highly-rated friendly matches against the Qatar U23 team on October 9th and 13th, respectively. This will allow them to further refine their squad, hone their tactics, and gain experience for the upcoming SEA Games 33 and then the 2026 AFC U23 Championship in Saudi Arabia.
In this training camp roster, apart from a few outstanding players called up to the national team for the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers, many notable faces continue to be included, such as Pham Ly Duc, Le Van Thuan, Nguyen Van Truong, and Nguyen Ngoc My - players who left their mark in the recent U23 Asian Cup qualifiers.
Notably, the list of players called up to the Vietnam U23 team this time includes a new addition, Nguyen Vadim (SHB Da Nang Club).

Born in 2005 in Russia, Vadim has a Vietnamese father and a Russian mother. At the age of 20, this 1.75m tall player is considered quite versatile, capable of playing well both as a winger and a central midfielder.
Vadim is also a new signing for SHB Da Nang in the 2025/26 season. With his addition, the Vietnam U23 team now has three overseas Vietnamese players: Tran Thanh Trung, Le Viktor, and Nguyen Vadim.
With head coach Kim Sang-sik currently leading the Vietnamese national team in preparation for the two matches against Nepal in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers, the coaching and management of training activities for the U23 Vietnamese team continues to be entrusted to Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh.
