Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Bui Xuan Cuong, has just signed a report to the City People's Council on the work of amending and supplementing Decision No. 02 dated January 16, 2020, of the City People's Committee regulating land price tables in the city.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will issue the adjusted land price list before October 15 (Figure 1).

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will issue the adjusted land price list before October 15th.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is expected to resubmit the revised land price list to the Appraisal Council on September 30th. The Council will appraise it before October 10th, and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will issue the revised land price list before October 15th.

This is the roadmap the city will follow to amend and supplement Decision No. 02 regulating the land price list for land currently in use in the area.

This matter was unanimously agreed upon in principle by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on August 31st. Furthermore, on September 10th, at a meeting chaired by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, with the participation of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, the Ministries of Finance , Justice, Construction, Planning and Investment, and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, it was also agreed that the issuance of a land price list is necessary.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirms that the revised land price list is being developed in compliance with regulations. To date, the city has completed all steps regarding the preparation and approval of the proposal; drafting, soliciting broad public opinion, and appraising the draft decision to replace Decision 02. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has fully incorporated all feedback into the draft.

Recently, Ho Chi Minh City has had over 8,800 pending land and housing files related to financial obligations. These files remain unresolved because the tax authorities are awaiting guidance on the new calculation method after the Land Law 2024 and Decree 103/2024 come into effect.

To avoid delays in processing land-related administrative procedures, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has agreed to use the land price list issued under the 2013 Land Law, as was done before August 1st. Land records in Ho Chi Minh City are currently applying the land price list according to Decision 02, issued in 2020.
