The National Assembly Standing Committee questioned 10 areas at the 36th session.

At the meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee will review the report of the Supervisory Delegation and approve the National Assembly Standing Committee's thematic supervision resolution on "Implementation of policies and laws on innovation of the organizational and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of operations of public service units in the 2018-2023 period"; give opinions on the organization of the National Assembly Forum on supervision activities and review the National Assembly's report on people's petitions in July 2024.

The National Assembly Standing Committee also considered and approved the Prime Minister 's proposal on the appointment of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;

Regarding law-making, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the Draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations; give opinions on the Draft Law on Electricity (amended) and the Draft Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended).

From August 21 to the morning of August 22, the National Assembly Standing Committee will organize a question-and-answer session for National Assembly deputies. The first group of questions will cover four areas: Agriculture and rural development; industry and trade; natural resources and environment; culture, sports and tourism.

The second group of questions related to 6 areas: Justice; internal affairs; security, order, and social safety; inspection; court; and prosecution.

The Prime Minister or authorized Deputy Prime Minister will speak and clarify a number of related issues under the Government's responsibility and directly answer questions from National Assembly deputies.

In addition to the 2.5 official working days, the National Assembly Standing Committee also reserves 0.5 days to consider and decide on the establishment, merger, division, boundary adjustment, and arrangement of district- and commune-level administrative units (in case the Government has a submission or project to send to the National Assembly Standing Committee).
