According to the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, on the morning of April 30, the VNREDSat-1 satellite took and transmitted images to a ground station in Vietnam, marking the return to normal operations of the entire system.
Launched into orbit on May 7, 2013, VNREDSat-1 put Vietnam in the group of 25 countries in the world that had their own Earth observation satellites at that time. Up to now, VNREDSat-1 has operated stably and continuously for more than 10 years in orbit, although it was only designed to operate for 5 years.
