The World's Best Awards, presented by the renowned international travel magazine Travel+Leisure, has honored Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City as among the 15 most beloved cities in Asia in 2023, as voted by its readers.
The annual World's Best Awards are held for readers to share their opinions and travel experiences about top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spa and wellness services, airlines, and more.

This year, nearly 165,000 Travel+Leisure readers completed the 2023 survey, an increase of almost 25% compared to pre-pandemic levels. In total, there were over 685,000 votes cast across 8,500 nominations.
Regarding the list of the 15 most popular cities in Asia, the cities were evaluated based on criteria such as attractions, culture, cuisine , friendliness, shopping, and destination value.
This year, Hoi An ranked 13th and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 14th on this list.
In addition, three Vietnamese hotels were also honored to be included in this year's list of the world's 100 most loved hotels: Capella Hanoi at number 18, Regent Phu Quoc at number 19, and The Reverie Saigon at number 35.
The remaining 13 most popular cities in Asia in 2023 include: Udaipur, Mumbai and Jaipur (India); Kyoto, Tokyo and Osaka (Japan); Ubud (Indonesia); Bangkok and Chiang Mai (Thailand); Luang Prabang (Laos); Siem Reap (Cambodia); Seoul (South Korea) and Singapore.
