According to the organizers, athletes participating in the WMC 2025 will compete in 10 of the most demanding disciplines in intellectual sports, including rapid number memorization, abstract imagery, and auditory memorization. After more than three decades of development, WMC is considered the pinnacle of super memory sports, where athletes with superior information processing abilities converge.
Being awarded the hosting rights by the World Mind Sports Council (WMSC) not only affirms Vietnam's organizational capabilities but also demonstrates the international community's trust in Vietnam's role in creating new trends in memory training. The biggest highlight of this year's tournament is the real-time digital scoring system, which is being applied comprehensively for the first time. This technology updates results in real time, increasing transparency and making the intellectual competition more dramatic and visually engaging.
Another special highlight is the appearance of the "Flow of Wisdom" Olympic Cup, crafted from gold, platinum, crystal, and diamonds. This symbol carries the message "Passed by Nations - Raised by Champions," representing the transmission of intellectual values between generations of champions and participating nations. This is the first time the tournament has featured a heritage symbol designed and crafted under the leadership of Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Phung Phong, Vice President of WMSC and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that this year's judging panel consists of 60 members from 24 countries, trained to international standards, under the leadership of Head Judge Teo Kim Foo, who has been involved in the development of the global super memory competition for many years. Furthermore, this year's tournament is honored to welcome the presence of super memory legend Dominic O'Brien, an eight-time world champion. As Head of Ethics, he will work with the judging team to ensure absolute integrity and fairness in all competition events.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phung Phong, the group of athletes includes many prominent figures from around the world such as Enrico Marraffa (Italy), Gunther Kasten (Germany), Naranzul Otgon Ulaan (Mongolia), Vishvaa Rajakumar (India), along with the Vietnamese representative - athlete Phuong Trinh. Mongolia is considered the strongest contender for medals due to its well-rounded team, but experts believe this year's race still holds many surprises as athletes from Italy, India, and Vietnam all possess strong acceleration capabilities.

Raymond Keene, Chairman of the World Mind Sports Council, said: “I have witnessed the history of the tournament for 34 years, but the energy and preparation of Vietnam this year are truly amazing. With the application of new technology and a wonderful spirit of hospitality, I believe WMC 2025 will be the most emotional and record-breaking tournament ever.”
According to the organizers, WMC 2025 is not only a competition of exceptional minds but also an opportunity to spread the movement of intellectual training in the community, contributing to affirming the value of thinking education and the potential of the human brain in the new era of development. This year's competition is jointly organized by the Vietnam Super Memory Organization, the World Records Alliance, and Tam Tri Luc Group, under the supervision of an international arbitration panel.
