VNSKY - a mobile network belonging to the VNPAY ecosystem with the prefix 0777 will start operating nationwide from July 7, 2023.

VNSKY mobile network was introduced in Nghe An on May 23 and officially expanded its operation nationwide from July 7, with the goal of becoming one of the 5 largest mobile networks in Vietnam.

With the orientation of becoming a new telecommunications technology solution, VNSKY is considered an extremely important piece in the process of completing VNPAY's digital ecosystem.

VNSKY mobile network will use MobiFone 's infrastructure and plans to expand to more partners in the future. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Director of VNSKY said that the explosion of online connection, learning, entertainment and business platforms has led to an increasing demand for mobile data, making the use of a SIM card unable to meet users' needs.

Mr. Dung also added: "Taking advantage of the existing telecommunications infrastructure helps the network operator have nationwide coverage immediately. The network operator will focus resources on research and development of digital and telecommunications services."

In Vietnam, the virtual mobile network model is still quite new. Before VNSKY, there were a number of other businesses operating such as Indochina Telecom Joint Stock Company (iTel) with the prefix 087, Asim Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (Local) with the prefix 089 and Mobicast Joint Stock Company (Reddi) with the prefix 055.
