VinFast Green continues to stir up the car market

The appeal of VinFast Green is not only shown by the record in the 8 golden days of opening for sale but also by the enthusiastic reception of a large number of customers during the "post-early deposit opening" period. Many customers believe that with its long-term economic value, durability and environmental friendliness, VinFast Green is completely superior to gasoline cars in the same segment.

The new "king" of service vehicles

Following the early pre-order period, VinFast set an unprecedented milestone in the history of the Vietnamese automotive industry by receiving 45,813 pre-orders for 4 models in the VinFast Green line within just 72 hours. This means an average of 10 Green orders were placed every minute, demonstrating the exceptional interest and high demand from customers for this new VinFast product line.

These figures not only represent a record number of pre-orders in a short period but also reflect a strong trend in the Vietnamese automotive market, where consumers are increasingly prioritizing VinFast electric vehicles as a green, smart, and economical transportation solution.

Xe Me Channel commented that the time of gasoline-powered service cars is over with 45,813 deposits for VinFast electric cars.

“Of the 45,813 GSM orders received in the first 3 days of sale, 13,020 orders came from 12 partners who are large transport businesses, showing the great attraction and potential of this vehicle line in the service business sector,” said the Me Xe channel.

For comparison, the Mitsubishi Xpander, a popular 7-seater model for commercial use, only sold 19,498 units in 2024, less than half the number of orders VinFast received in just three days. The Xpander's market share is predicted to plummet due to the arrival of the Limo Green. In fact, the 8-day pre-order period already shows this trend, with thousands of customers quickly upgrading to the Limo Green, even abandoning their gasoline car orders to switch to VinFast's 7-seater MPV.

Similarly, in the small urban car segment, car models such as Minio Green, Herio Green... are considered to definitely overwhelm gasoline cars such as Hyundai Grand i10, Kia Morning - which have witnessed a sharp decline in sales in recent years.

Economical in every aspect, VinFast Green remains incredibly popular.

VinFast's record-breaking success with the Green line of vehicles is expected to continue. From March 25th, individual and service customers can order VinFast Green vehicles through GSM channels or VinFast showrooms and distributors nationwide. Prices are 269 million VND for the Minio Green, 499 million VND for the Herio Green, 668 million VND for the Nerio Green, and 749 million VND for the Limo Green.

According to many sales consultants of GSM and VinFast, the popularity of these car models has not cooled down after the early deposit period ended, thanks to the competitive price as well as the preferential policy of free battery charging until June 30, 2027 for all VinFast electric car owners. In addition, customers in Hanoi enjoy additional incentives from 2.5 to 7.5 million VND, which can be converted into VinClub points to use services and shop in the Vingroup ecosystem.

“VinFast offers free charging until June 2027, so driving without spending any fuel is a great deal. Moreover, electric cars are exempt from registration fees and maintenance costs are also cheap,” said Nguyen Van Long (Hanoi), who has just decided to upgrade his family sedan to Limo Green. The economic benefits of the VinFast Green electric car line are far superior to those of gasoline cars.

In particular, customers who buy VinFast Green cars to operate on the Green SM Platform in 2025 will also receive the privilege of a revenue sharing rate of up to 90% for 3 years. This is a policy that attracts the attention of many service car owners.

Mr. Le Manh Ha decided to choose Minio Green to run his service in Ho Chi Minh City, believing that if he only spent 10% of the monthly platform cost on Xanh SM, he would be able to recover his initial investment in less than 1.5 years.

“No car company on the market can compete with VinFast in terms of vehicle operating costs. A gasoline car needs 3-5 years, or even longer if purchased on installments, to recover the cost of buying a car, but with Minio Green it is only half that time,” said Mr. Ha.

In 2024, VinFast became the best-selling electric vehicle in Vietnam with over 87,000 vehicles delivered. With tens of thousands of pre-orders for the Green model in just three days, and with demand continuing to rise, this new product line is expected to contribute significantly to VinFast's sales growth targets in 2025, thus solidifying the Vietnamese automaker's position as the market leader.
