(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training has just announced the sample exam questions for the combined subject test in the entrance exam for 10th grade non-specialized high schools starting from the 2025-2026 school year.
Sample exam questions for the combined subject tests for admission to non-specialized 10th grade in Vinh Phuc province for the 2024-2025 school year:
1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Biology
4. History
5. Geography
6. English
The exam papers published by the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training include the following subjects: Natural Sciences (including physics, chemistry, and biology); History and Geography (history and geography); and English.
The sample exam for the combined subject test consists of multiple-choice questions with four options, only one of which is correct. The exam duration will be announced in the admissions guidelines.
The Department of Education and Training requests that heads of units implement this in their teaching and review sessions for students preparing for the entrance exam to grade 10 of non-specialized high schools starting from the 2025-2026 school year.
According to the Department's leadership, the exam questions are not designed to trick students, focusing on basic knowledge within the 2018 secondary school curriculum, primarily the 9th grade curriculum, while still ensuring differentiation to select students for non-specialized high schools with high competition rates.

According to the Head of the Examination and Quality Management Department of the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training, the announcement of the scope of knowledge and sample exam questions for the subjects in the combined exam aims to provide early guidance for students.
If the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that the third exam is a combined subject, the Department of Education and Training already has the scope of knowledge and sample questions for each component subject within the exam. For example, for the natural science subject, they could choose physics, chemistry, or biology; for history and geography, they could choose history or geography.
"The Department cannot yet announce the specific duration of the third exam, but has only announced the scope of knowledge and sample exam questions for each component subject in the combined exam because there is no official document from the Ministry of Education and Training yet."
"If the Ministry finalizes the combined subject exam format, the components of each subject will be within the scope of knowledge as shown in the sample exam provided by the Department," said the Head of the Examination and Quality Management Department of the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training.
Earlier, at the end of November, the Vinh Phuc Department of Education and Training announced the structure, format, competency table, and thinking level, as well as sample exam questions for mathematics and literature.
Based on these sample exam papers, the relevant units will implement teaching and organize review sessions for students preparing for the entrance exam to grade 10 of non-specialized high schools starting from the 2025-2026 school year.
