VNPT and Tay Ninh cooperate in digital transformation, promoting socio-economic development

Recently, in Hanoi, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) and Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee signed a cooperation agreement for the 2024-2030 period on digital transformation.

The cooperation agreement on telecommunications and information technology (VT-CNTT) for the period of 2019-2023 was signed by VNPT and the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province in July 2019. Over the past 5 years, the items under the cooperation agreement have been effectively implemented, demonstrated in a series of areas such as: developing a master plan for deploying IT applications for sectors and fields in Tay Ninh; deploying service network infrastructure and technical systems, video conferencing, public telecommunications; supporting information security and network security when DDoS attacks occur on DNS services on the server system; building a Smart City Monitoring and Operation Center (IOC) to integrate data from departments and sectors, along with the Tay Ninh Smart application to serve the monitoring and operation work of the Provincial People's Committee; a platform for integrating and sharing shared data at the provincial level (LGSP); centralized security and order surveillance camera solutions; Upgrading IT systems to serve digital transformation in sectors and fields in the province, including education, health, agriculture , natural resources - environment; and other fields.

Along with that, a number of other digital transformation projects and plans have also been successfully implemented by the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province and VNPT such as: implementing digital transformation solutions for districts and cities, for people and businesses; enterprise electronic information portal and business management software for business households...

Promoting the achieved cooperation results, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee and VNPT continue to sign a cooperation agreement for the period of 2024-2030 on digital transformation with specific action plans, aiming to successfully implement the strategy of developing telecommunications infrastructure, digital infrastructure towards successfully building digital government, digital economy and digital society of the province.

The two sides pledged to mobilize comprehensive resources to best implement the cooperation agreement, improve the operational efficiency of each side to bring the highest benefits to the government, people and businesses, making Tay Ninh province one of the leading localities in digital transformation in the country.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province highly appreciated the coordination and support of VNPT in the past time for Tay Ninh province in developing the infrastructure of telecommunications and information technology services as well as initiating the implementation of digital transformation of the province, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ngoc hopes that the results achieved from the cooperation agreement for the 2024-2030 period on digital transformation will be higher, more practical and more effective so that Tay Ninh can fully exploit the local potentials and achieve breakthrough developments in the coming time.

Discussing and clarifying some proposals at the conference from the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee in implementing the cooperation agreement for the period 2024-2030, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNPT Group To Dung Thai shared about some key items that VNPT will immediately deploy for Tay Ninh in each specific field of building digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Mr. To Dung Thai emphasized that VNPT is committed to being ready to immediately start implementing the plans agreed upon by the two sides, so that the results of digital transformation can truly help Tay Ninh open up and make the most of the local potential and competitive advantages to further develop the socio-economy, affirming the position of Tay Ninh province in the key economic region of the South as well as the whole country.
