Concrete truck was pouring roof in Thai Binh when crane collapsed, many people injured

Late on the evening of May 12, a leader of the People's Committee of Tien Phong Ward ( Thai Binh City, Thai Binh Province) confirmed that a work accident had just occurred in the ward, injuring 4 people, one of whom was seriously injured.

Initial information, at around 6:00 p.m. the same day, at Tran Thu Do Street in front of house number 74 (in residential group number 6, Tien Phong ward, Thai Binh city, Thai Binh province), a tanker truck carrying fresh concrete of Binh Phuong Company with license plate 17C-072.47 stopped at the above location to connect a crane to transfer the concrete pipe to pour the roof of the 2nd floor of Mr. Dang Van Th's house (born in 1990, residing in Vu Phuc commune, Thai Binh city).

During construction, the concrete pump truck's support leg tilted and fell, causing a manhole cover to sink. As a result, the truck collapsed to the right, causing the concrete transfer crane to collapse and crush the unfinished roof of the second floor.

The incident left Mr. Nguyen Van Nh (born in 1975, residing in Thang Cuu village, Phu Xuan commune, Thai Binh city) seriously injured. Three other injured people include: Mr. Nguyen Van C (born in 1972), Mr. Tran Tien Kh (born in 1983), Mr. Bui Xuan Ng (born in 1974), all residing in Phu Xuan commune, Thai Binh city.

The construction site where the accident occurred left many people injured.

Speaking to the press, the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Thai Binh Provincial Police said that immediately upon receiving the report, the unit directed and dispatched 2 specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to carry out rescue work.

"According to the preliminary report, at the time of the incident, there were 13 people working at the scene. Many people quickly ran away from the scene, while the remaining 3 injured and trapped people were urgently taken outside for further treatment and emergency care," informed the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Thai Binh Provincial Police.
