Lottery continues to operate as it is today.

The Ministry of Finance said it will coordinate with the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct lottery companies to maintain operations according to the current model.

On November 10, Tuoi Tre Online reported that the Ministry of Finance had just sent a document to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc regarding the organization of lottery business activities.

The Ministry of Finance said that to ensure that lottery business activities are conducted continuously and stably, without affecting the amount of revenue to the state budget, the Ministry will continue to coordinate with the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct lottery companies to maintain operations according to the current model, until there is an official announcement on the time to start operating under the new model as approved by the Prime Minister .

The Southern Lottery Council's report on lottery activities in the first 9 months of 2025 shows that the region's traditional lottery revenue reached more than VND 115,727 billion (up 11.5% over the same period), contributing nearly VND 40,000 billion to the budget (up 12.8% over the same period and reaching 84.3% of the 2025 plan).

According to the Southern Lottery Council, from the funding sources of lottery companies and mobilized contributions, in the first 9 months of 2025, the whole region carried out social welfare and charity activities with a total value of more than 291 billion VND.
