"Youth and Hanoi" is a running event aimed at raising funds for underprivileged students. Athletes of all ages participate in two distances, 3km and 10km, taking place at the My Dinh National Sports Complex.
The "Run: Youth and Hanoi " race is not just a sporting event, but also a major community activity, encouraging people to participate in physical training and promote sportsmanship. All proceeds from the race, after deducting collection fees through ticket sales, will be donated to the "Meals with Meat" program.
The "Run: Youth and Hanoi" event was held on the morning of March 23rd with nearly 1,000 athletes and had an impact on more than 2,000 people in Hanoi.
The race attracted nearly 1,000 athletes from all over the capital and beyond. The 3km and 10km distances were designed to suit participants of all ages, from beginners to professional athletes.
Tran Minh Tuan, an 11th-grade student specializing in Computer Science at Hanoi University of Education High School for Gifted Students, who founded the project and is also the head of the organizing committee, shared: "The race brings many values to the community. This is not only an opportunity for people to improve their health, but also to build solidarity among individuals, families, and friends. By participating in the race, people will have the chance to connect and share beautiful moments together."
In addition, the race is also an opportunity to raise awareness about physical and mental health. A positive lifestyle through exercise not only improves health but also enhances the quality of life."
The project not only encourages a passion for running and physical fitness but also raises funds to support education . All proceeds will go to the "Meals with Meat" program under the "Fund for Poor Children in Highland Areas," helping to provide nutritious meals, warm clothing, school supplies, and facilities for underprivileged students in mountainous regions.
