
According to the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Board, from the beginning of the year until now, after reviewing and receiving applications, the entire province has 1,706 dossiers requesting the awarding or posthumous awarding of the Glorious Youth Volunteer Medal (1,331 dossiers for awarding, 375 dossiers for posthumous awarding).
After initial assessment, 490 applications were deemed eligible; 302 were deemed ineligible; and 917 required central government review.
Recently, the Central Emulation and Commendation Board's working group met with the Department of Internal Affairs to survey and provide guidance on organizing the awarding of the Glorious Youth Volunteer Medal and commendations for achievements in the resistance war.
At the meeting, the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs agreed that dossiers containing party member, official, and civil servant profiles clearly showing the number of years of service will be considered for posthumous awards and commendations first; dossiers with unclear grounds will be reported to the relevant levels for specific details and consideration later.
Currently, the process of awarding and posthumously conferring titles to volunteer youth under Decree No. 28/2024/ND-CP on awarding and posthumously conferring the Glorious Volunteer Youth Badge faces many difficulties.
