On August 28, a “sea of people” began to flock to the Vietnam Exhibition Center - VEC (Tu Lien Bridge Street, Dong Anh, Hanoi ) when the National Achievement Exhibition “80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey” opened. Satisfaction was the first impression of visitors when they first saw the exhibition space.

“I have never seen such a massive exhibition. From the country’s brilliant achievements over the past 80 years, the characteristics of each region, to the latest products and technologies, everything is here,” said Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang (Hanoi).

The exhibition space, both indoor and outdoor, with a total area of nearly 260,000m2, is modernly designed, applying many new technologies such as AR/VR, 3D Mapping, Immersive Room... making visitors amazed and excited. Clusters of modern aircraft and weapon models attract long lines of people to directly experience, explore , take photos and check-in...

The technology experience booths at the exhibition were always packed. Visitors enjoyed interacting and chatting with VinMotion’s humanoid robot, admiring the bulletproof electric car Lac Hong 900 LX for heads of state, or trying to fly an A320 plane, shooting simulated guns…

“This is not just a simple exhibition, but an experiential park that brings a rare visual feast. Each exhibition space helps visitors, especially young people, easily acquire knowledge about history and understand more about the achievements and development of the country in a natural and vivid way,” Mr. Tran Van Nghia (Hanoi) excitedly shared.

The number of visitors to VEC increased rapidly. At its peak on September 1, the exhibition welcomed 1.05 million people, making VEC a prominent destination during the September 2 holiday.
“Everywhere I go, I see people laughing, taking pictures, and full of pride. It is truly a great and effective way to educate about history and culture,” said Nguyen Van Thai, a 70-year-old veteran from Ninh Binh.

During the exhibition, the red color with yellow stars filled the entire VEC. Visitors wore shirts printed with the national flag and held the national flag, creating a festive atmosphere during the Independence Day.
“Coming here, I can see how strong the Vietnamese spirit is,” a group of tourists from Hai Phong shared.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Exhibition Center welcomed many high-ranking delegations, including leaders of the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam, along with the presence of international delegations from many countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, etc. and global partners in the MICE field. The presence of high-ranking delegations affirmed Vietnam's role as a prestigious meeting place, converging and connecting international friends, and at the same time showing Vietnam's increasingly expanding position globally.

Welcoming a record number of visitors, some days exceeding 1 million visitors, VEC still operates smoothly, ensures security, and has no waste left behind. The secret lies in VEC's synchronous infrastructure and diverse amenities - from a large parking area of up to 10,000 spaces, 2 free internal tram routes, 12 indoor and outdoor information counters, 925 indoor and outdoor toilets... to Vingroup's professional operating standards and the support of 2,000 volunteers, bringing a complete experience to visitors.
“Very crowded but still safe, clean, attentive tour guide”, commented Mr. David Brown (American tourist).

With a scale of top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world, VEC proves its ability to organize large-scale events. This place is expected to become a future event center, the center of the cultural and entertainment industry, creating new growth momentum for the capital and the whole country.
“The success of the National Achievements Exhibition helps us confidently develop the Vietnam Exhibition Center into a place symbolizing the new vitality and rise of the nation,” historian Duong Trung Quoc said.

The exhibition will continue to last 10 days longer than originally planned, until September 15 (Photo: Organizing Committee).
Given the strong interest and influence of the event among the people, the Prime Minister decided to extend the exhibition by 10 days compared to the original plan, until September 15, to help people have the opportunity to visit and experience it.
Responding to the Prime Minister's decision, VEC announced free space, operations and services for all booths, joining hands to turn the exhibition into a "grand feast" of the country.

With the unexpected success of the National Achievement Exhibition, experts believe that VEC is fully capable of hosting international-scale events, putting Vietnam on the map of the world's leading exhibition cities.
“With a strategic vision, synchronous infrastructure and cooperation from the Government to businesses, I believe that Vietnam, which owns a top 10 exhibition facility in the world, will rise to become a leading international event center in the region and the world,” said Ms. Ramona Fischer, representative of GL EVENTS, a leading international corporation in the event industry and an exhibition organization consultant.
