On August 28, a "sea of people" began to flock to the Vietnam Exhibition Center - VEC (Tu Lien Bridge Street, Dong Anh, Hanoi ) when the National Achievement Exhibition "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness Journey" opened. Satisfaction was the first impression of visitors when they saw the exhibition space with their own eyes.

"I've never seen an exhibition this grand. From the country's brilliant achievements over the past 80 years, the unique characteristics of each region, to the latest products and technologies, everything is gathered here," shared Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang (Hanoi).

The exhibition space, both indoor and outdoor, with a total area of nearly 260,000m2, is modernly designed, applying many new technologies such as AR/VR, 3D Mapping, Immersive Room... making visitors amazed and excited. Clusters of model aircraft and modern weapons attract long lines of people to directly experience, explore , take photos and check-in...

The technology experience booths at the exhibition were always packed. Visitors enjoyed interacting and chatting with VinMotion's humanoid robots, admiring the Lac Hong 900 LX bulletproof electric vehicle designed for heads of state, or trying out the A320 aircraft and shooting simulators…

“This is not just a simple exhibition, but an experiential park that brings a rare visual feast. Each exhibition space helps visitors, especially young people, easily acquire knowledge about history and understand more about the achievements and development of the country in a natural and vivid way,” Mr. Tran Van Nghia (Hanoi) excitedly shared.

The number of visitors to VEC increased rapidly. At its peak on September 1st, the exhibition welcomed 1.05 million people, making VEC a prominent destination for the September 2nd holiday.
"Everywhere we went, we saw people laughing, talking, and taking pictures; everyone was full of pride. It's truly a great and effective way to educate about history and culture," shared Mr. Nguyen Van Thai, a 70-year-old veteran from Ninh Binh.

Throughout the exhibition, the red and yellow colors of the national flag filled VEC. Visitors wearing shirts printed with the national flag and holding national flags created a vibrant, festive atmosphere for Independence Day.
“Coming here, I can see how strong the Vietnamese spirit is,” a group of tourists from Hai Phong shared.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Exhibition Center welcomed many high-ranking delegations, including leaders of the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam, along with the presence of international delegations from many countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, etc. and global partners in the MICE field. The presence of high-ranking delegations affirmed Vietnam's role as a prestigious meeting place, converging and connecting international friends, and at the same time showing that Vietnam's position is increasingly reaching out globally.

Welcoming a record number of visitors, some days exceeding 1 million visitors, VEC still operates smoothly, security is guaranteed, and there is no waste left behind. The secret lies in the synchronous infrastructure and diverse amenities of VEC - from a large parking area of up to 10,000 spaces, 2 free internal tram routes, 12 indoor and outdoor information counters, 925 indoor and outdoor restrooms... to Vingroup's professional operating standards and the support of 2,000 volunteers, bringing a complete experience to visitors.
“Very crowded but still safe, clean, attentive tour guide”, commented Mr. David Brown (American tourist).

With its scale ranking among the top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world, VEC demonstrates its ability to organize large-scale events. It is expected to become a future event hub, a center for the cultural and entertainment industry, creating new growth momentum for the capital and the entire country.
"The success of the National Achievements Exhibition gives us confidence to develop the Vietnam Exhibition Center into a place that symbolizes the new vitality and upward progress of the nation," historian Duong Trung Quoc observed.

The exhibition will continue to last 10 days longer than originally planned, until September 15 (Photo: Organizing Committee).
Given the strong interest and widespread impact of the event among all segments of the population, the Prime Minister decided to extend the exhibition by 10 days beyond the original plan, until September 15th, to allow people more time to visit and experience it.
In response to the Prime Minister's decision, VEC announced that it would provide free space, operation, and services for all booths, joining hands to turn the exhibition into a national "grand feast."

With the unexpected success of the National Achievements Exhibition, experts believe that VEC is fully capable of hosting international-scale events, putting Vietnam on the map of leading exhibition cities worldwide.
“With strategic vision, synchronous infrastructure and cooperation from the Government to businesses, I believe that Vietnam, which owns a top 10 exhibition facility in the world, will rise to become a leading international event center in the region and the world,” said Ms. Ramona Fischer, representative of GL EVENTS, a leading international corporation in the event industry and also an exhibition organization consultant.
