Kinhtedothi - During the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake 2025, Nghe An province welcomed over 430,000 visitors for sightseeing and worship. Total tourism revenue for Nghe An province during the Lunar New Year 2025 is estimated at 479 billion VND.


According to the Nghe An Provincial Department of Tourism, this year's Lunar New Year holiday lasts for 9 days, with favorable weather conditions for sightseeing, recreation, and entertainment. During the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, Nghe An welcomed over 430,000 tourists to its tourist destinations, including approximately 138,000 overnight visitors.

On February 2nd alone, historical sites and tourist destinations in Nghe An province welcomed over 80,000 visitors. Total tourism revenue for Nghe An province during the 2025 Lunar New Year is estimated at 479 billion VND.

To ensure compliance with the law in tourism service business activities at tourist attractions in Nghe An province during the Lunar New Year holiday, the Inspectorate of the Department of Tourism and the Foreign Security Department of the Provincial Police conducted inspections at many tourist attractions in the area.

During the inspection, the inspection team requested that tourist attractions further strengthen their efforts in ensuring security, order, environmental hygiene, and safety for tourists. Emphasis was placed on ensuring security, order, environmental hygiene, and safety for tourists.

The inspection team also requested the Management Board of temples, pagodas, and historical sites to ban electric vehicles that do not meet operating conditions. They also called for an end to the practice of vendors and parking attendants harassing and pestering customers.
