90% of students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law have jobs in their field.

On December 7, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announced a report on the results of a survey on the employment situation of students one year after graduation.

According to the report, the employment rate of students after 1 year of graduation is 97.43%. In particular, some majors recorded very high employment rates such as: high-quality program law reached 98.66%, standard program law reached 96.52% and international trade law reached 92.39%.

Regarding job search time, 32.3% of students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law found jobs immediately after graduation; 53.1% found jobs within 3-6 months. The rate of unemployed students was only 2.57%, down 0.53% compared to 2024. Regarding income, 77.6% of students had an average of 10-20 million VND/month (an increase of 33.6% compared to the 2024 survey); 9.3% of students earned over 20 million VND.

The report also pointed out a strong shift of students to the private sector at 77.9%, an increase of 10.9% compared to the previous year. More than 90% of students are working in jobs related to their field of study or related to their field of study.

According to Master Mai Hieu Hanh, Deputy Chief Justice of the People's Court of Region 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law always demonstrate logical thinking ability and a solid knowledge foundation that is superior to the average of schools that offer law training.

"Thanks to being trained in depth and systematically, students of this school quickly grasp the work when interning at the court, demonstrating efficiency and a high sense of responsibility. The unit even often assigns additional tasks and sets higher expectations because it trusts in the students' ability to receive and handle work" - MSc. Hanh said.

Mr. Do Hai Nam - Intermediate Enforcement Officer, Deputy Head of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Region 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, assessed the training quality in recent years of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, especially the high-quality program, as very good. Graduates fully meet recruitment requirements and quickly adapt to professional work.

In addition to the positive results, the survey also pointed out that the main reason why a small number of students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law are unemployed is due to lack of work experience (61.9%). At the same time, 86.3% of students after graduation have proactively participated in additional skills and professional training courses to meet job requirements.

Students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law recommend that the school strengthen cooperation with employers, especially the private sector, to expand internship and training opportunities and accumulate practical skills during the study process.
